Our Lips Are Sealed

31 Categories. 664 Entries. 13 Judges. 93 Winners. And 1 Best of Show. The annual IHAF Awards Show is just around the bend which means every submission has been touched, watched, heard, poured over, and ultimately scored by our panel of experts. All that’s left to do now is announce the winners!

Throughout the month of August, the digital specialists on our judging panel reviewed all the video entries as well as every app, website, social campaign, and email that comprise our digital marketing categories. Last Wednesday, an in-person panel convened for a full day to evaluate the remaining submissions—a roomful of masterworks from sales collateral to point-of-purchase displays to integrated campaigns.

Judging this many entries (in a single day, no less) deserves an award of its own! Though I’ll say, having been there myself from start to finish, the judges were visibly energized and inspired by all they assessed. Gaemer Gutierrez, Creative Director at CVS Health, remarked that he was “absolutely blown away by all the great work and creative energy.”

After each category was tallied and all the tie scores were broken, my favorite part of the day ensued—determining Best of Show. This is when the judges talk about what piece among the Gold winners stands out as best of the best. This year, our judges spent considerable time hashing out which piece was most deserving—ultimately narrowing it down to three and after some healthy debate, aligning on a winner.

Find out what teams will walk away from this year’s IHAF Awards Show with Gold, Silver, Honorable Mention and, of course, Best of Show honors. Join us on Wednesday, November 11th for the big reveal at the Revere Boston Common Hotel. Until then, our lips are sealed!
