Meet the CMOs

The IHAF Awards & Annual Conference is our largest event of the year, drawing up to 200 attendees from an assortment of companies nationwide. Our 2014 conference is themedCorporate & Creative, focused on the duality of in-house agencies today—the classic, conservative corporate side and the atypical, avant-garde creative side.

One of the sessions this year’s attendees are sure to enjoy is our CMO Panel Discussion on Friday, November 14 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This segment features executives from three leading national brands: Margaret Coughlin, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer & Senior Vice President of Boston Children’s Hospital, Jim Davey, Vice President of Global Marketing for Timberland, and Rand Harbert, Executive Vice President and Chief Agency, Sales and Marketing Officer at State Farm Insurance—with each sharing how their teams balance corporate and creative initiatives followed by an interactive Q&A with the audience.

What are the biggest obstacles to managing a creative team within a corporate environment? What have you done to help stimulate creative thinking across your organization and, in particular, to keep your creative team fresh? How do you determine what to insource and what to outsource? What is the career path at your in-house agency? What are you doing to provide opportunities for high performers?

What topics do you want the CMOs to tackle? Take your seat, ask your questions, and learn from the best. Corporate & Creative will explore the full range of philosophies and characteristics inherent in in-house teams. With our CMO panel, keynote speakers, interactive exercises and small-group breakouts, this two-day event has something for everyone.

Don’t miss the 2014 IHAF Awards Show & Annual Conference on November 13-14 at The Liberty Hotel in Boston. For the full conference agenda and/or to register, visit our event site. And if you’re traveling from out of town, be sure to take advantage of IHAF’s special rate by booking your hotel room by October 14th.
